I had such a blast photographing this wonderful family during my recent military family Mini Sessions in Hawaii! (Here is Part 1 and Part 2 if you want to peek!)
I met this fun Mom when I was out last June for sweet Adair’s surprise arrival. She lives a couple doors down from Taylor and had recently given birth to a beautiful baby girl a few weeks prior to Adair’s arrival.
I so appreciated the “W” family for their flexibility as we had to postpone our session due to rain… actually, a downpour. Even our rescheduled session seemed to be a game of cat and mouse when in an instant we went from taking cover from light showers to dodging the bright sun to dealing with dark shadows from moving clouds. Welcome to Hawaii!
I would have to say one of the greatest joys of this session was photographing Dad with his daughter, “J”. Because he had been on deployment, these were the first professional pictures with Daddy’s little girl! (Yes, I’m smiling as I write this and it still warms my heart!)
Of course, interacting with their adorable son, “R” was an absolute hoot! This 3 1/2 year old was full of imagination and never stopped talking! (Hmm… my kind of kid!) He was such a delight and his sweet little sister just went with the flow! Even after falling into a much needed sleep during the session, when we woke her up to plunk her in the bucket for her individual pics… she turned on that irresistible charm that just warms your heart!
Again, I can’t express how meaningful it was to be able to photograph these amazing military families! I wasn’t even sure if I’d have time to schedule any sessions but at the last minute, a day opened up and I was so grateful for these families being willing and available at such short notice… thank you!
